Legislative Resources
One of the primary purposes of the YMCAs of New York State is to monitor legislation and regulations that could impact independent YMCAs. The organization seeks to educate State lawmakers concerning the important role YMCAs play in promoting healthy living, building strong families, providing safe recreational programs for children, and supporting communities throughout the state.
Each year the organization defines key legislative priorities which form the basis of educational and advocacy efforts throughout the year.
